1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using RipFix UK's services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our automotive repair services, website, and any related services provided by RipFix UK ("we," "us," or "our").
These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use our services. By using our services, you represent that you are at least 18 years old or have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
2. Service Description
RipFix UK provides professional automotive repair and maintenance services including but not limited to engine diagnostics, brake services, MOT testing, electrical repairs, and general vehicle maintenance. All services are performed by qualified technicians using industry-standard equipment and procedures.
We reserve the right to refuse service to any vehicle that we deem unsafe to work on or that requires specialized equipment we do not possess. All service recommendations are based on our professional assessment and industry best practices.
3. Booking and Appointments
Appointments can be booked through our website, phone, or in person. We require 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations to avoid cancellation fees. Emergency services are available but subject to additional charges and technician availability.
Cancellation Policy:
- 24+ hours notice: No charge
- Less than 24 hours: 50% of estimated service cost
- No-show: Full estimated service cost
- Emergency appointments: Subject to availability surcharge
4. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of services unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept cash, credit cards, and bank transfers. For major repairs exceeding £500, we require a 50% deposit before work begins. All prices are subject to VAT where applicable.
Written estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. If additional work is discovered during service, we will contact you for authorization before proceeding. Any additional work will be charged separately according to our current labor and parts rates.
5. Warranty and Liability
We provide a 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty (whichever comes first) on all labor and parts supplied by us. This warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials but does not cover normal wear and tear, accidents, or damage caused by misuse or neglect.
Warranty Exclusions:
- Customer-supplied parts
- Normal wear items (brake pads, filters, fluids)
- Damage from accidents or misuse
- Services performed by other providers after our work
Our liability is limited to the cost of the original service performed. We are not responsible for consequential damages, loss of use, or any other indirect costs. All vehicles are serviced at the owner's risk.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about their vehicle's history, previous repairs, and current issues. You must remove all personal items from your vehicle before service. RipFix UK is not responsible for personal items left in vehicles.
You agree to pay all charges incurred for services performed on your vehicle. If payment is not received within 30 days of service completion, we reserve the right to pursue legal action and charge interest on outstanding balances at a rate of 1.5% per month.
7. Data Protection and Privacy
We collect and process personal data in accordance with UK data protection laws and our Privacy Policy. This includes contact information, vehicle details, and service history necessary to provide our services effectively.
Your data is stored securely and is only shared with third parties when necessary for service delivery (such as parts suppliers or insurance companies with your consent). You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time.
8. Dispute Resolution

For unresolved disputes, we agree to binding arbitration under the rules of the UK Arbitration Association. Any legal proceedings must be initiated within one year of the service date. These terms are governed by English law and subject to the jurisdiction of English courts.
9. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. We recommend reviewing these terms periodically.
If you do not agree to modified terms, you must discontinue use of our services. For significant changes that affect your rights, we will make reasonable efforts to notify existing customers via email or posted notices.
